The world’s most recognisable city car is back. Smart has revealed its all-new Smart ForTwo and Smart ForFour models, saying it’s kept everything that was good about the old car and added a little extra for good measure. Both cars are due on sale in November with prices starting at around £11,000.Set to be launched in November, the ForTwo and ForFour both get near-identical styling, with a track that’s 100mm wider and a slightly decreased height by around 10mm. Meanwhile, the ForFour has a sloping roofline, to help create a more sporty profile.
The contrasting tridion safety cell remains but other than that it’s a whole new Smart design language. We’ve seen it before on concepts like the Forvision, Forstars and For-Us, featuring a honeycomb-patterned grille, large headlights and a high bonnet.
Buyers can customise their Smart with around 40 different combinations of body colour and tridion safety cell. These include a matte white for the body and metallic orange for the cell.
